Anti-Corruption Policy

• Corruption: Any act of bribery, extortion, embezzlement, fraud, or abuse of power for personal gain or to obtain an unfair advantage.
• Bribery: Offering, promising, giving, accepting, or soliciting anything of value, whether directly or indirectly, to influence the actions or decisions of a person in a position of trust.

The following conduct is strictly prohibited:

• Offering, giving, or accepting bribes or improper advantages, whether in monetary form, gifts, favours, or any other benefit, to secure business or favourable treatment.
• Engaging in any form of corruption, including embezzlement, kickbacks, or fraudulent activities.
• Facilitating payments, which are small payments made to expedite routine administrative processes, but are illegal and prohibited under this policy.
• Providing false or misleading information to auditors, investigators, or any government agency.
• Engaging in any actions that could be perceived as attempting to influence or gain unfair advantages in business relationships.

All employees and representatives of Intelek must comply with all applicable anti-corruption laws and regulations in Malaysia. This includes, but is not limited to, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009 (MACC Act).

Gifts, entertainment, and hospitality may be offered or received in the context of business relationships but must be reasonable, infrequent, and never intended to influence business decisions. Any gifts, entertainment, or hospitality given or received must comply with local laws and regulations and must be properly documented and approved in accordance with company policies.

If any employee or representative of Intelek suspects or becomes aware of a potential violation of this policy or any corrupt activity, they must report it immediately to their supervisor, human resources, or use the established whistleblowing channel. The company will protect the confidentiality of the individual reporting the violation to the extent permitted by law and will not tolerate any retaliation against whistle-blowers.

Violation of this Anti-Corruption Policy will result in appropriate disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or contract. In serious cases, legal actions may also be pursued against the individuals involved in corruption or bribery.

Intelek will provide training to all employees and representatives to raise awareness about corruption, bribery, and the importance of complying with this policy and relevant laws.

This policy will be reviewed periodically to ensure it remains effective and up-to-date with changing laws and best practices.
